  • Reactivity in chemistry: general principles (electronic structure of molecules, nucleophiles, electrophiles,
    elementary acts, kinetic/thermodynamic control).
  • Substitution and elimination reactions with
    halogens and alcohols derivatives - SN1, E1, SN2, E2 mechanisms and competition SN / E:
    stereochemical, kinetic aspect -activation of an alcohol function by tosylation –
    Williamson Synthesis example
  • Addition reactions on carbonyl groups
    (aldehydes and ketones): hydrides, water, HCN, etc.
    Protection of carbonyl groups by acetalization
    Aldol reaction/ketolization
  • Electrophilic addition reactions
    Addition reaction on alkenes and alkynes according to the Markovnikov selectivity.
