The master programme FAME (Functionalized Advanced Materials and Engineering) has been awarded for the third time the European label “Erasmus Mundus Joint master degree” and becomes FAME+.Grenoble INP – Phelma, graduate school of engineering in Physics, Electronics and Materials Science, coordinates the project through Dr. Eirini SARIGIANNIDOU, lecturer and researcher of the school and head of the Master on behalf of the consortium of universities associated for this programme. Grenoble INP’ financial and administrative services ensure the implementation of this European project, which has a budget of approximately 3 million euros, the majority of which is dedicated to student scholarships. This excellence program will be open to 3 cohorts of international students from September 2018 to August 2022. The consortium is currently recruiting the first cohort.
The master program FAME+ is a two-year degree to complete within 7 partner universities which started collaborating in 2007. France, Belgium, Portugal and Germany pooled the expertise of their research centres in the field of Advanced Materials Science, a synergy that allows them to offer a high level of academic training and research and development in the synthesis, characterization and processing of materials and focus on nanomaterials, hybrids and ceramics. By joining this program, students spend a year abroad in one of the partner universities.
