Phelma proposes a new formation of Master degree in the field as of innovating materials and of the durable economy: AMIS (Advanced Materials for Innovation and Sustainability). This program dedicated to the innovations in advanced materials and their integration in a durable economy, is centered on critical materials, their substitution and the optimization of their performances. All these topics are central themes of the institute European of Technologies (EIT) which labeled the project.
U-Multirank ranking has been released on March, 30, 2017. This worldwide ranking of higher education institutions managed by the European Union ranks this year 1 497 institutions from 99 countries, according to 35 criteria organized in 5 groups and rated on a scale from 1 (very good) to 5 (weak) : teaching, research, knowledge transfer, international orientation and regional implication.
Jordan Perrin, Ph.D. student of LGP2, defended his doctoral thesis: "Production of pure cellulose from wood by green purification and bleaching process with ozone, for textile and chemical application".
Marcos Mariano, Ph.D. student of LGP2 and of Laboratoire Rhéologie et Procédés, defended his Ph.D. thesis: "Applications of cellulose nanocrystals: thermal, rheological and mechanical properties of new materials".
A nice double win for the Professor, specialist in bio-based nanocomposites, rewarded by a prize of the TAPPI and ranked in the 300 most cited researchers in the field of Materials Science & Engineering in 2016.
Nagalakshmaiah Malladi, Ph.D. student of Laboratoire Rhéologie et Procédés and of LGP2, defended his Ph.D. thesis: "Melt processing of cellulose nanocrystals: thermal, mechanical and rheological properties of polymer nanocomposites".
Elsa Walger, LGP2's Ph.D. student, defended her Ph.D. thesis: "Study of the activation of hydrogen peroxide by the copper(II)-phenanthroline complex for the color-stripping of recovered cellulosic fibers".
The LGP2 recently became an associate member of the Bio-based Industries Consortium (BIC), an association founded in Brussels in 2012 to represent the private sector within the Bio-Based Industries (BBI) public-private partnership.
