Univ. Grenoble Alpes in Reuters’ Top 50 most innovative universities

In May 2017, Reuters published the results of its report called « The 100 most innovative universities in Europe 2017 ». Grenoble INP institute of engineering and Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA), ranking 31st and 43rd, are definitively positionning Univ. Grenoble Alpes in the most innovative universities in Europe (Top 50) thanks to excellence research jointly conducted with research organisms.

Only 16 French institutions appear in this ranking, led by Université Pierre et Marie Curie (Top 10, 7th position). Grenoble INP institute of engineering Univ. Grenoble Alpes ranks 6th amongst French universities and UGA ranks 10th.

This ranking is based on the analysis of several indicators related to scientific activity of 600 international institution between 2010 and 2015. Retained criteria relate mostly to scientific publications, testifying of research quality, and pending patents, illustrating the institution’s interest in protecting and promoting its innovations. This ranking reflects institutions’ involvement in research and promotion of its results.
