Graz University of Technology hosted the Unite! Dialogue from 27-29 February 2024 for the first time since joining the alliance. Students, staff and faculty from all nine Unite! universities came together to attend this event.

Graz University of Technology is hosting the upcoming Unite! Dialogue, titled "Think Beyond: Unite! for Collective and Sustainable Impact”, scheduled to take place from the 27th to the 29th of February 2024.

Call for applications opens on 15 January until 15 March 2024.This time those interested can participate in a virtual matchmaking event to connect with potential partners, so that more Unite! projects can become a reality.

The first collaborative project between two European University Alliances was granted by the European Commission to improve Higher Education Institutions collaborations

From the 19th to the 21st of September 2023, Wroclaw Tech played host to the VIII Unite! Dialogue, themed "Unite! Ecosystems". Representatives from all the universities in the alliance and delegates from seven Ukrainian universities gathered for the event.

The first round of Unite! Seed Fund for student activity will fund two student projects to make them a reality: ARISE programme and READING Unite! - U! Reading Club.

Wroclaw Tech (Poland) will be hosting the upcoming edition of the VIII Unite! Dialogue, titled "Unite! Ecosystems," scheduled to take place from the 19th to the 21st of September 2023.

The 2nd edition, held from 31 May to 2 June, brought together 230 students, from 40 university alliances and 30 countries. They gathered in the prestigious setting of the European Parliament in Strasbourg to exchange ideas, discuss pressing matters, and collaborate on shaping the future of Europe.

From June 29 to July 1, the first Unite! student festival will be held at the University of Lisbon (Portugal), bringing together students from nine partner universities. In Grenoble and Valence, twenty students from Grenoble INP - UGA and UGA will be taking part in this unique intercultural event.

Financial boost for innovative ideas from the teachers, researchers and students across the Unite! alliance.

From 28th February to 2nd March, more than 300 academic and administrative staff and students gathered in Grenoble university domain to initiate the first Dialogue of the second phase of Unite!

From February 28 to March 2, Grenoble INP – UGA and Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA) will host Unite! 7th Dialogue. 300 staff and students coming from the 9 university partners are invited to participate in this event on the theme of international collaboration.

Unite! has closed its pilot phase to launch the new Erasmus + proposal for the next four years, to implement the European university of innovation, technology and engineering.

With over 250 academic, staff and student participants coming from nine European Universities, the Unite! Alliance sixth Dialogue was just hosted at Politecnico di Torino on September 20-22.

To close the pilot phase of the Erasmus+ project and launch the future activities, the Alliance will hold the VI Unite! Dialogue in Politecnico di Torino, with task force meetings and public plenary sessions.

Unite!’s proposal to be a technology and innovation driver for the advancement of a green and digital Europe has been approved by the European Commission (EC).

A bright and mostly sunny Stockholm welcomed more than 200 Unite! staff members and students for the Unite! Summer Community Event June 13-15. The event gathered members of the Erasmus+ Task Forces and the Horizon 2020 Work Packages and around 30 meetings were scheduled. In addition, a number of open seminars were arranged on different Unite!-related themes.

Unite! wants to pave the way for the excellence in research, innovation and education that is essential to meet the challenges of our time. Our Mission Statement 2030 embodies these commitments and is the result of a concerted effort by the entire Unite! community.

The 5th Unite! Dialogue, “New Horizons”, took place on 8-10 March, hosted by KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. The two new future partner universities - Graz University of Technology and Wroclaw University of Science and Technology - presented themselves to the alliance community and the Dialogue was the first event at which the Horizon 2020 project was fully represented.

On March 3rd and 4th 2022, more than 250 students from 38 European universities have gathered for the inaugural session of the European Student Assembly, whose main objective was to make students’ voices heard.

Throughout the year, the European university Unite! offers short programs accessible to all its students in every partner university. It gives them the opportunity to discover new learning methods on different subjects, and strengthen their English skills in an international environment.

Grenoble INP - UGA, a founding member of the CLUSTER network, which has brought together 12 scientific and technological universities* for the past 30 years, will assume the presidency for the period 2020-2022. For this occasion, the Institute of Engineering and Management will host the CLUSTER general assembly on March 2 and 3. It is also organising two conferences, as part of the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union (PFUE)** and Grenoble European Green Capital, which will focus on the construction of Europe through alliances of European universities and the contribution of engineering to the challenges of climate change.

Last November, 16 participants from 7 partner universities participated to solve challenges related to the COVID-19 pandemic and higher education in the international hackathon “H@ck your COVID”.

With a new Erasmus+ call, the integration of two new partners and an already full agenda, the year 2022 promises to be busy for the European university Unite!

Unite! is pleased to welcome two new excellent partners to the alliance. They are Graz University of Technology (Austria) and Wroclaw University of Science and Technology (Poland). Both partners share Unite!'s dynamic spirit and approach.

On 3 November, the first European Unite! University Virtual Fair will take place for all students. This event will be run via a thematic room system on the interactive Spatial Chat platform to discover the training opportunities offered within the Unite! alliance.

Unite! is organising an online hackathon which will take place from 22 to 26 November 2021 (5 to 7pm CET) via online Zoom meetings. It aims at getting together different groups of students of different partners’ universities to work on a collaborative project solution for the University of the Future. You have until November 15th to register and the winner will get to travel to the KTH Royal Institute of Technology Dialogue in March to present the results of the Hackathon.

Unite! for sustainable energy will be held on the 24th of September, from 10 to 11.30 (CET) in English. It will be a joint session interactive session, including students and researchers from each partner university.

Last May, 11 students from Grenoble joined 60 others in the first ever Spring School, organised online by Politecnico di Torino, our Italian Unite! partner. The Unite! Metacampus, our digital platform connecting the 7 universities of the alliance, has finished the alpha tests and moves forward with its implementation.

As a pioneering European university alliance, Unite! is aware of its social responsibilities to provide extensive accessibility to and fair opportunities within higher education, as well as its impact on the shaping of future leaders in a globalised society.

From March 8 to 10, Grenoble INP – UGA organized the 3rd Unite! Dialogue, bringing together online representatives, personnel and students from the 7 university partners of the Unite! European University*. This Dialogue was the 3rd after those in Aalto, Finland in February 2020 and in Lisbon, Portugal, in September 2020.

Unite! convenes again for its big event, the Unite! Dialogue, from 8th to 10th March 2021. This regular meeting between the members of the alliance and key guests is a great opportunity to strengthen the links and foster further collaboration within the alliance.

The third instalment of the biggest Unite! internal event is approaching. Now, for the first time, the 3rd Unite! Dialogue Grenoble will open its doors to the public through a dedicated session on "European Values and Innovation".

To address the 2030 vision on the future of universities in the field of R&I in Europe by developing, in synergy with its educational dimension, an integrated, shared and long-term research and innovation (R&I) strategy: this is the aim of Unite.H2020 project, that has been launched by a kick off meeting among the 7 European partners universities of the Unite! European University Alliance.

The UNITE! community has started a collaborative process in order to put in place a virtual Metacampus UNITE!. This is a challenging process that has to lead to early results in the medium term. The decision of the Alliance to start designing a common digital platform, is a turning point, and at the same time a challenge and an exciting starting path on which the community has enthusiastically engaged, as the need of such a tool is viewed as a key need for the visibility and growing of the concept of a European university.

One year ago, UNITE! was selected as one of the 17 European University Alliances to pilot an entirely new concept of the European Commission towards the European Education Area of the future. Born as an Erasmus+ project, and later receiving additional funding by the H2020 framework programme, these pilot projects are laying the foundations of a solid structure that will enable the full potential of UNITE! as a European University Alliance.

Last July, UNITE! received an additional €2 million in funding from the EU - as part of the Horizon 2020 call "Science with and for society" - to strengthen the research and innovation strategy and initiatives of European universities for a three-year-long pilot phase.

The 2nd UNITE Dialogue opened its virtual doors on 30th September to representatives of faculty, staff, students and rectors and presidents of the seven European universities of the UNITE! Alliance.

A year after its start, UNITE! is awarded an additional 2 million Euro funding from the EU – under the Horizon 2020 “Science with and for Society” call – in order to boost the Research and Innovation dimension of the European Universities.

Technological universities have been key to face the Covid-19 crisis and provide solutions for the new challenges that have emerged. The University Network for Innovation, Technology and Engineering (UNITE!), which gathers 7 prestigious European universities, allows direct knowledge and technology transfer in order to face the challenges more efficiently and with long-lasting effects.

Since all universities of UNITE! had to move online because of Covid-19, The UNITE! Management Team has decided to launch a webminar series dedicated to online student assessment and evaluation.

UNITE! University Network for Innovation, Technology and Engineering officially launched

Grenoble INP Institute of Engineering Univ. Grenoble Alpes has been awarded on Wednesday June 26th, the title of “European University” by the EU Commission for the project UNITE! (University Network for Innovation, Technology and Engineering), together with six other European universities.
