Matteo Cocuzza

Matteo Cocuzza Dr. Matteo Cocuzza received his Master in Electronic Engineering at the Polytechnic of Turin (Italy) in 1997, and his PhD in Electronic Devices in 2003 from the same University. Since 2004 he has been a researcher of the C.N.R. (Italian National Council of Research). He is lecturer of 2nd level courses related to MEMS and micro- and nano-technologies, also in the framework of the International Master Degree in Nanotechnologies for ICT, a joint master between Polytechnic of Turin, Grenoble INP and EPFL Lausanne. Since 1998 he is involved in the development of MEMS for sensor applications and he is responsible for the Chlab cleanroom.

Currently, his research is mainly focused on the development of micro- and nano-platforms (Lab-on-a-chip) for genomic and proteomic applications. In 2005 he was one of the founders of the Latemar National Laboratory, a Centre of Excellence for advanced research in the field of micro and nanotechnologies for genomics and proteomics.
