The student board : Grand Cercle

Unifying force

Members of the student board (Grand Cercle) come from all 11 engineering courses and coordinate student initiatives at Grenoble Institute of Technology. Its large-scale events and communication throughout the year are a unifying force. The "Grand Cercle" works hard to make new student feel at home, and also coordinates events organized by student bodies for each course, along with the whole array of clubs and societies.

Events to remember

The Grenoble Institute of Technology "Gala" is the biggest night out of the year, with more than 2,000 party-goers. Each year the "Gala" has a unique, unforgettable program of music, shows and events.  The Autumn Festival is another major event, organized so that freshmen can check out the various clubs and societies on offer. The Festival finishes with a bang - a massive open-air concert at "Place de la BU".

Clubs and societies

The "Grand Cercle" ( funds and facilitates more than thirty clubs and societies with diverse and varied activities. Many clubs and societies are set up each year to cater for everyone's tastes. Music, sport, art, gaming... you name it, there is a club!

Relations with other students

The student board also liaises with other Grenoble university student bodies, as a member of the Grenoble Students Union and the "Espace Vie Etudiante" (EVE). Thus, Grenoble Institute of Technology students are up to date with what is going on in the rest of student life.
