Energy

Published: July 11, 2005

Grenoble has always been at the forefront of development in energy technologies, starting with hydroelectric power. Research in this strategic area needs to offer solutions that take society's concerns into account. Grenoble Institute of Technology's laboratories carry out work in a thriving industrial setting, supported by ambitious regional and national policies.

Multidisciplinary partnerships

Cours au LEGEnergy research at Grenoble INP draws on its strengths in multidisciplinary institutional and industrial partnerships. The institute's strengths and skills are pooled in areas such as electrical engineering, fluid mechanics, electrochemistry and nuclear engineering, and shared with institutional partners (Joseph Fourier University, the CNRS - French national research center and Grenoble CEA - atomic energy commission), as well as its industrial partners (Schneider Electric, EdF, Air liquide, etc.)
Grenoble INP is involved in the Rhone-Alpes Region Energy cluster and the EnRRDIS renewable energy cluster, giving it a leading role in regional and national energy research.
