Signing of the GreEN-ER partnership agreement!

GreEn-ER, the new global innovation centre for energy and renewable resources backed by the Université de Grenoble PRES and coordinated by Grenoble INP, has been launched.
Signing of the GreEN-ER partnership agreementOn 20 July 2012, the GreEn-ER partnership agreement was signed by Farid Ouabdesselam, administrator of the Grenoble PRES and Olivier Miens, deputy general manager of the Eiffage Group, in the company of Brigitte Plateau, administrator of Grenoble INP and Olivier Métais, director of Grenoble INP - Ense3. GreEn-ER was created against the backdrop of energy challenges and challenges in terms of the management of natural resources which represent major strategic, socio-economic and environmental stakes for the coming decades. The aim of this European centre of excellence which counts more than 1,500 students is to bring together professors and researchers in one place around the new energy technologies. The site will incorporate the Grenoble INP engineering schools - Ense3 (Energie, Eau et Environnement - Energy, Water and Environment) undergraduate and Master's courses from the Université Joseph Fourier, a laboratory, the G2Elab and training/research platforms (PREDIS and MEE). Accordingly, GreEn-ER will address the challenges of producing renewable energies as well as energy storage, control and efficiency. GreEn-ER will aggregate engineering courses supported by: Grenoble INP, mainly with the Ense3 and Phelma schools (with in particular subjects such as Nuclear and Energy Engineering, Electrical or Hydraulic Engineering, Structures and Environment). National or international Master's programmes supported by Grenoble INP and Université Joseph Fourier. A specialised Master's program supported by Grenoble INP and the Grenoble Business School (Energy Management and Marketing). International Masters programs supported by Grenoble INP (Hydraulic Engineering and Electrical Engineering for Smart Grids and Building).
