Water issues and design of complex hydraulic and mechanical systems
The Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Hydraulique et de Mécanique de Grenoble is located on the university campus. Its 3-year courses train engineers in water, environmental and sustainable development issues and all areas linked to the design and industrialization of increasingly complex hydraulic and mechanical systems. Students can specialize either in hydraulics and the environment or in fluid engineering and mechanics .
Hands-on learning, industrial experience
Grenoble IT - ENSHMG uses industrial projects and IT-based learning to encourage to students to play an active role in shaping their course to their professional goals. Work placements, exchanges, forums, conferences and many other industry collaborations immerse them in the business environment.
Research and business promotion
Grenoble IT - ENSHMG is at the heart of a research and innovation cluster drawing together more 400 researchers in fluid, solid, soil and structural mechanics. Teaching and research go hand in hand.
International perspectives
35 % of students take the opportunity of Grenoble IT's international relations to do 3-month to one-year placements in foreign universities and companies.
Diverse career paths
Hydraulics and environment graduates are sought after in areas such as water treatment, hydraulic construction, maritime hydraulics, civil engineering and the environment. Fluid and mechanical engineering graduates go into a variety of sectors such as the motor industry, railways, aeronautics, the energy industry, engines and the nuclear industry.
