Recruitment  
Recruitment exams are set by groupe Grenoble INP, to be sat in the institute, at the local education authority or the ministry of education. However, staff can also be recruited directly on contract, particularly for the more technical positions .

Hours - annual leave (engineering, admin, technical and supports staff )
The legal hours are 1,607 per year. 45 days annual leave. Time off can be taken in lieu of overtime hours worked, in consultation with their supervisor and in accordance with departmental requirements. .

Staff appraisal

Grenoble Institute of Technology has been organizing appraisals for a number of years to help understand the various jobs within the institute and better manage human resources.

Professional development

There is a specific department in charge of personnel training plans, with information gathered during staff appraisals.

Internal training may be provided or courses outsourced from external providers.
