Grenoble Institute of Technology is a public sector technology university with over 5,500 students and 1,100 teaching and research fellows, admin and technical staff. Over 1,200 engineering masters, 200 research masters and 200 doctorates are awarded each year, as well as around a hundred internal qualifications.

Grenoble Institute of Technology has a long-standing tradition of maintaining strong ties with relevant industries, and  as par of this, 2,200 students go on industrial internship placements each year.

Grenoble Institute of Technology is commited to excellent research and contributes to 39 research laboratories, including 12 international laboratories, and 26 laboratories in partnership with France's Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique and Université Grenoble Alpe.

In addition, Grenoble Institute of Technology has a strong international reach, and is part of student exchange programmes with research and higher education partners in over 50 countries.
