History

Grenoble INP, over 100 years history

For over a century, Grenoble INP institue of engineering Univ. Grenoble Alpes has been pursuing what was its first mission: to train engineers. Others have quickly been added to this initial vocation: scientific and technologic research, doctoral training, further education, and support of industrial growth.

Les grands projets


Through the formalization of Univ. Grenoble Alpes COMUE on January 1st, 2015 and the application to the French government "Initiative d'excellence" (IDEX) investments, we can foresee the most important transformation of local university field since the creation of current institutions in 1970.
 
 
Minatec:
The MINATEC micro and nanotechnologies innovation campus brings together major organizations in the Grenoble area working in micro and nanotechnology development.


Minalogic: (FRENCH) 
Minalogic (MIcro NAnotechnologies et LOgiciel Grenoble-Isère Compétitivité) competitive cluster aims to build an international center for miniaturized chips.


Tenerrdis:

The aim of the TENERRDIS cluster (industrial and research cluster for renewable energies in Rhône-Alpes region and for the development of new energetical technologies) is to promote research and business spin-offs in new energy technologies.


Carnot
Institute "Energies of the future": (FRENCH)

Gathers all of Grenoble players around new energy technologies.



Carnot Institute "Softwares and smart systems": (FRENCH)

Aims to improve competitiveness to develop new solutions in softwares and smart systems.
