Nanotechnology is an emerging domain of engineering and science, at the interface between Physics, Biology and Chemistry, leading to several innovations in the area of Material and Electronics engineering.
The aim of this summer school is to present some of the critical aspects of this area, taking advantage of the recognized expertize of Grenoble laboratories and industries in this field.
Description of the 2 specific minors
If you are selected to participate to the Grenoble Institute of Technology Summer School 2012, our course leader will decide, according to your profile, to integrate you in one of both following modules:
NanoBiology (12 students) or NanoElectronics (24 students).
NanoBiology module:
- NanoBiology I (12h)
- NanoBiology II (12h)
- NanoPhysics (12h)
- Microsystems (12h)
- Creativity and Innovation in Micro & Nanotechnologies (9h)
- NanoEthics (seminar 2h)
- Intercultural Communication (12h)
- Practical work: Lab work in clean room (Lab on chip) (16h
NanoElectronics module:
- NanoPhysics (12h)
- Microsystems (12h)
- NanoElectronics Devices and Circuits (12h)
- NanoBiology I (12h)
- Creativity and Innovation in Micro & Nanotechnologies (9h)
- NanoEthics (seminar 2h)
- Intercultural Communication (12h)
- Practical work: Lab work in clean room (Solar Cell processing) (20h)
Important to know: Among those lectures some of them are commun to both modules: NanoBiology I, NanoPhysics, Microsystems, Creativity and Innovation in Micro & Nanotechnologies, NanoEthics, Intercultural Communication. In this case, the whole group (36 students) will study together.
