Rhône-Alpes – Ontario: a winning team

The Ontario province of Canada and the Rhône-Alpes region of France have teamed up to carry out joint efforts in technology, industry, and the environment.
Three other European regions have signed similar agreements: Baden-Wurttemberg in Germany, Lombardy in Italy and Catalonia in Spain.

The ORA (Ontario-Rhône-Alpes) programme links universities in Ontario with those in Rhône-Alpes.
The following universities in Ontario are involved in the ORA program:
- University of Guelph
- Lakehead University
- Laurentian University
- McMaster University
- Nipissing University
- University of Ottawa
- Queen's University
- University of Toronto
- Univ. of Western Ontario
- Wilfrid Laurier University
- University of Windsor
- York University
- Waterloo University
In 2008, 50 students from each region took part in exchanges, including two from Grenoble Institute of Technology.
