
If you are accepted, the laboratory or the IRO sends you back a demande d'accueil (information request) that you must fill in and return once signed by your home university head and yourself.
1- The laboratory sends you an invitation letter, and only for Master students, a contrat d'études (learning agreement) to fill in with your academic coordinator and to send back to Grenoble INP.
2 - If the internship is part of your studies, the laboratory sends you a convention de stage (training agreement in 3 original copies) form that has to be signed by yourself + your home institution + Grenoble INP.
3 - If the internship is not part of your studies, this period is only considered as a training period. There is no convention de stage (training agreement) and no bonus expected.
4 - On your arrival, you must go directly to the laboratory or to the IRO to obtain a registration appointment.

2 - Once signed by all partners, you will receive your complete convention de stage (validated by the Grenoble Prefecture within at least 3 months at least) via postmail. This document will be required by the French Embassy when applying for your trainee visa (only for non European students).

- If you arrive in the framework of a partnership: you will be registered as an exchange student.
- If you arrive in a laboratory as a visitor : you will considered as a visitor
- If you arrive in a lab as a researcher outside of a partnership: you will be considered as a "collaborateur bénévole" (unpaid contributor)
