Am I eligible?
You must be in a faculty of Engineering or in a faculty of Science (Bachelor level)

How do I apply ?
It is very simple, Please follow those instructions to register:
  • Step 1 Inform your home university that you want to register at our Summer School 2012
  • Step 2 You can register online (coming soon) before 16 April 2012.
  • Step 3 After you have registered, please follow all the instructions you will receive by email from the Grenoble INP's International Office.
Is there a deadline to apply?
Deadline is 16 of April 2012.

Can I get a refund in case of cancellation?
Grenoble Institute of Technology will keep 50% of the amount in case of cancellation before April 22nd. No reimbursing will be possible after April 22nd 2012.

Do I need a visa?
Please check the web site of the French ministry of foreign affairs or ask your home university.

How can I pay the fees?
After your application has been accepted, you will have to pay the fees by
oneline payment.

Can I choose my module?
No, you can not because you will be selected by our course leader who will determine it according to your profile.

Can I take two modules?
No, you can not. You have to take only one: either NanoBiology or NanoElectronics.

Is the French Culture course compulsory?
No.

What are the requested documents with the On-line Application?
  •    
  •     Please upload your personal data (first name, family name, address, home university, country...)  and CV+Transcripts (with those information the selection process can starts)
May I send myself to you the Registration Form?
No. You just have to fill out the online Application Form.

What is the equivalent of one ECTS credit?

The European Credit Transfer System ECTS was developed by the European Commission in order to provide common procedures to guarantee academic recognition of studies abroad.
Exemples:
Italy
1 italian credit (CFU) = 1,5 ECTS
Brasil
1 crédit brésilien = 1,5 crédits ECTS
Canada
1 canadien credit = 2,5 ECTS
United States of America
1 american credit = 2 ECTS

Do I need to speak French?
No.

Where do I stay?
In a renovated Résidence Hall. Grenoble Institute of Technology has signed a contract for the lenght of the Summer Program. Each student will stay in a room all equipped.

Is housing included in the Summer School fees?
Yes it is...

Do you offer housing and health insurance?
Yes, it is included in the Summer School fees during your stay.

What is included in the fees and costs?
  • Participation in all courses (Science, practical courses, intercultural communication courses)
  • Actvities and weekends organized by the Student International Board
  • Participation in excursions and trips around Grenoble
  • Monthly Trolley/bus line tickets
  • Housing in a Student's renovated Residence Hall
  • Health and housing insurance during your stay
  • EPFL Lausanne and Politecnico di Torino campus visits

When can I move into my rooms and until when can I stay?
Accomodation is provided from Saturday June 2th until Sunday, July 8th included at the Residence Hall. 3 or 4 days before checking out, you must fix a date with the Residence Hall staff members (reception desk) in order to check with them there are no damages in your room.

Can a friend or relative (not registered in your Summer Program) be accommodated at the Residence Hall?
No, it will not be possible for him/her. This person will have to arrange his/her own accommodation in Grenoble.
