Grenoble INP offers several different types of exchange programmes, including academic exchanges, laboratory work, internships, dual-degree programmes, and joint degree programmes.
ECTS credits Exchange students can transfer credits for coursework at Grenoble INP to their home university under the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). However, students must carefully read the course descriptions and details about ECTS credits applicable to their specific Grenoble INP programme.
Academic exchanges Students completing academic exchanges at Grenoble INP receive degrees from their home university. Home universities will accept credit for courses taken at Grenoble INP only if acceptable grades are obtained. Students should work closely with their academic advisor before leaving their home university to choose the courses they want to take at Grenoble INP. Their academic advisor can also provide details on the ECTS credits eligible for transfer from Grenoble INP.
Internships and culminating projects Culminating projects usually consist of laboratory research. Exchange students should obtain approval for their culminating projects from their professor before leaving their home university; their professor can also put them in contact with the appropriate person at Grenoble INP.
