100% of Grenoble INP engineering students will participate in an exchange programme by 2012
Around 60% of Grenoble INP engineering students currently spend at least one term abroad, compared with 80% at some other schools. However, this year all Grenoble INP engineering students received financial aid for their exchange programmes - evidence of the school's commitment to international student mobility.
Grenoble INP's International Relations Department aims to:
Promote the school's international programmes
Improve the quality of the school's admissions process
Allow more students and staff to spend time abroad
Offer more instruction in English
Provide French language courses to foreign students
Identify new partners around the world
Improve synergies among education, research, and industry around the world
Continue to actively participate in international trade shows
Boost the visibility of the CLUSTER consortium
Form more partnerships with top-tier universities
Help faculty offer new courses in English
Focus on target regions (e.g., Europe, Brazil, and the US)
Expand the school's network of experts working with partner universities
Become more involved in international projects and programmes (e.g., Erasmus Mundus, Tempus, and ECW)
Host major events like the International Fair
Offer special English language courses to teachers and administrative staff
