Admission Requirements

Engineering training in the Computer Networks Specialization is open to foreign students with an L3 (Bachelor), M1 or M2 (undergraduate or postgraduate) qualification. This course is appropriate for potential project managers in information systems and systems administrators and integrators.
Outwith specific agreements with partner universities (Universidade Federal de Campina Grande in Brazil, IASI University-Romania, Academia Tehnica Militara in Bucharest, Romania, Jagiellonian University in Krakow-Poland, Ho-Chi-Minh City University of Technology and Hanoi University of Technology-Vietnam) applications will be examined on a case by case basis.

Courses

The 4th year of Esisar (M1 year) is organized into two periods: one semester dedicated largely to academic education and an industrial project semester dedicated to the completion of a full time contract within industry.

The 5th year (M2 year) is also organized into two semesters: one dedicated to more in-depth education of a particular subject in the Specialization chosen, the other dedicated to the End of Studies Project i.e. a 5 month placement in a laboratory or industry.

More precisely, the first semester is made up of a common core of 5 ECTS (business techniques, languages, sport) and one specialty module worth 25 ECTS.

Overview and Career Opportunities

This Specialization trains engineers in how to design, develop and integrate complex advanced information systems and how to adapt to the evolution of languages and technology. The technological domains involved are mainly computing, networks and systems.
The main career options are:

Project Manager: software development, system integration
Systems, networks, telecommunications, software administrator
Specialist in Internet, Intranet and multimedia technology

The main sectors of employment are intermediate-high technologies, Small and Medium Enterprises, integration (service, telecommunications, transport and logistics, car industry, aeronautics, etc.)

Master Thesis

Esisar can offer courses for periods of one semester, one year or two years. In the case of students completing the full Master Cycle (2 years of study) at Esisar, the Grenoble INP - Esisar engineering degree will be awarded.
Foreign students who complete the full Master Cycle (M1 and M2) at Esisar also have the option of taking a Master Recherche as a double degree in some of the specialties offered as part of the Electronics, Power Systems, Automatic Control, Signal Processing program (EEATS, organized by Grenoble INP) and Mathematics and Computer Science (organized by Université Joseph Fourier de Grenoble, UJF).
