COMPETENCE FIELDS
Hydrogen production by photosynthetic bacteria (Rhodobacter capsulatus, Rhodobacter sphaeroides, R. rubrum, R. palustris)
Design of Experiment (DOE) methodology
Degradation of biomasses by ultrasonic / nanoparticles processes
Biodegradation of HAP (phenantrene) by Mycobacterium.
Metallic biosorption on microbial biomass type A. ferrooxidans.
Bioelectrochemistry:
* indirect biofuel cell: coupling hydrogen photoproduction and fuel cell (PEMFC, SOFC).
* biosensors (CrVI, S2O32-, Fe2+) with an amperometric sensor based on A. ferrooxidans.
* bioelectrochemical process for the culture of A. ferrooxidans.

COLLABORATIONS
* John C. Willison (Biochimie, Génétique) : iRSTV-LBCM / CEA Grenoble
* Yannick Combet-Blanc, Richard Auria (Bactéries hyperthermophiles), Institut Méditerranéen d'Océanographie (UMR_D 235 MIO), IRD Marseille
* Christian Pétrier (ultrasons) Laboratoire de Rhéologie et Procédés, LRP, Université de Grenoble Alpes
* Carlos Alberto Guerrero Fajardo (bioconversion énergétique de biomasse), Département de Chimie, Université de Bogota (UNAL Colombie).

Financement ANR HYCOFOL_BV 2009-2012.

MATERIALS
* Chambre de culture de microorganismes photosynthétiques (bactéries, microalgues) thermostatée, contenant 25 bioréacteurs (120 ml) en parrallèle, chacun disposant d'un système automatisé de mesure d'H2 en continu.
* HPLC Infinity 1200 (monochromateur), colonne dosage de sucres et d'acides organiques.
* MicroCPG
* Photobioréacteurs (0.12 – 1 – 3 – 20 L).
* Dispositif de mesure en continue de la densité optique (Spectrophotomètre à fibre optique, cellule en Z).
