PILSI in brief
The Integrative research centre of the International innovation cluster for Software and intelligent systems (PILSI) seeks to bring together manufacturers involved in international competition as well as scientists and high level technologies under one roof in order to expedite marketing of innovative products and services. CEA, CNRS, INRIA, Grenoble INP and the Joseph Fourier University are the key players involved in PILSI.

Role

  • To define high stake industrial and societal programmes in close cooperation with the founders and manufacturers
  • To coordinate a set of integrative research programmes with each programme being run by mixed industrial and academic teams

  • Signature of the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) for construction of the PILSI-EDD-BEeSy project on 4 July 2013

Taking things a step further

PILSI falls under the construction of the PILSI-EDD-BEeSy project which is one of the leading, major post-Grenelle environment forum real estate projects carried out on a French university campus. Eventually, the construction and renovation of the buildings will represent 21,000m² for this Public-Private Partnership.
The goal of PILSI is to create innovation by speeding up the encounter and the mutual enhancement of information and communication micro-and nanotechnologies through the combined action of research, training and industry. Another goal is to accelerate the transfer of innovations from laboratories in order to meet industrial and societal needs, in particular by enhancing cooperation developed in the Carnot Institute LSI and in the Minalogic competitive cluster. Its main task is to attract the best talents to Grenoble, both researchers and students, and to promote the arrival of new industrial partners.
