Minatec Crossroads 2006 - Grenoble IT's Events

Grenoble IT organizes six events during Minatec Crossroads 2006, illustrating its training, research and industrial valorization activities.

Three conferences, animated by renowned researchers, teachers and industrialists, will aim to let discover the micro and nanotechnologies world and the latest scientific and technological developments to all non-expert people. May 31st. Registration : http://www.minatec-crossroads.com/fr/inscriptions.php 2006 Doctorate Students Meeting, May 30th, from 3:30 to 4:00 PM: During this meeting, students and researchers are invited to discover the latest developments in Science and Technology, in micro and nanotechnologies. Those developments result from projects of young researchers and the know-how of various laboratories of the Grenoble Area. Registration : http://www.minatec-crossroads.com/fr/inscriptions.php PhD Ceremony, May 30th, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM: during this ceremony, the 11 best Doctorate works among the 180 published in 2004 will be awarded for their scientific results regarding topics of laboratories and companies established in  Minatec. These French and Foreign PhDs are now professionals in fundamental and applied research in laboratories and companies.   • Arun G. Phadke, expert in Energy, Emeritus Professor, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, USA.
  • Carlo Naldi, expert in Micro and Nanotechnologies, Professor, Electronics Department, Politecnico di Torino, Italy.
  • Pravin Varaiya, expert in Embedded Systems, Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Sciences, University of California, Berkeley, USA.
  • Klaus von Klitzing, Nobel Prize in Physics, 1985, expert in Solid-state Physics, Emeritus Professor, Stuttgart Universität, Germany.
