Grenoble Institute of Engineering is a public sector technology university with 6,000 students and a staff of 660 teachers and researchers, and 600 administrative and technical employees. Over 1,200 engineering masters, 300 research masters and 230 doctorates are awarded each year.

Grenoble Institute of Engineering has a long-standing tradition of maintaining strong ties with relevant industries, and  as par of this, 2,200 students go on industrial internship placements each year.

Grenoble Institute of Engineering is commited to excellent research and contributes to 35 research laboratories, including 8 international laboratories, and 23 laboratories in partnership with France's Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique and Université Grenoble Alpe.

In addition, Grenoble Institute of Engineering has a strong international reach, and is part of student exchange programmes with research and higher education partners in over 50 countries.
