Career opportunities
The figures below are from studies of the employment status of graduating doctors.  According to these figures, about a quarter of those graduating from the Ecole Doctorale pursue post doctoral studies in France or abroad, about a third find employment in teaching and/or research in French public organizations and about a quarter are employed by private companies (mainly in R&D departments).  The majority of graduating doctors employed abroad are foreign nationals.
