Throughout the year, French for sciences with on-line interactive modules are on offer to international students of Grenoble INP, according to their specific level and their individual needs. The tutoring and coaching of students for completion of the French scientific modules are provided by a French teacher of Grenoble INP.
FILIPÉ courses: French for science with on-line interactive modules FILIPÉ courses are available online to help students improve their knowledge of technical French. Each course requires 15 to 20 hours of independent work.
Grenoble INP offers
Tutoring sessions in September comprising 4 hours of instruction with a French tutor plus independent work in a computer lab; and
Personalised support throughout the year at the request of a student or the school (independent work overseen remotely by a tutor).
Successfully completed courses can be used for ECTS credits (students must request a certificate of completion). Course objectives French language for sciences courses are designed to give students the comprehension skills needed to take engineering courses in French. The main course objectives are for students to:
Learn specialised vocabulary;
Identify and use the language structures specific to engineering;
Learn to identify key words and take notes during a course in French.
To enrol Students enrolled in exchange and dual-degree programmes should complete the enrolment form for courses in technical French and send it in with their application (see the online exchange programme application).
Students in other programmes (interns and PhD students) should complete the enrolment form for courses in technical French and send it to the International Relations Department, to the attention of Estelle Dutto.
